Flights of Fancy with Granny Flo
This float was originally St George and the Dragon built in 1993.
In 2008 it was redesigned as Granny Flo to celebrate the storytelling grandmothers who pass on Pageant tradition.
She wears her pearls to the Pageant, as pearls of wisdom are worn on a special day. There is still fire in her yet, as she billows smoke along the journey surrounded by young travellers. The refurbishment of the float was by artist, Jill Halliday
