Cupcake Christmas
This special float was designed by St Johns Grammar School, the winner of the inaugural design-a-float competition in 2007.
Gary Lee Gaston took the schools winning design and turned it into a delicious cupcake array. The children involved came to the workshop to see the float when it was made and Credit Union Christmas Pageant team visited the school to show them the costumes. On Pageant Day 2007, the class had a prize spot on the blue honour line. Following the success of the float competition, it will now be held every two years. This years winner, Rodney the Red Biplane, was designed by Owen Primary School and will be joining the pageant for the first time in 2009.
