For this year's Credit Union Christmas Pageant Theme - Shining a Light on Kindness - we are finding so many wonderful ways to celebrate this important theme.

Now more than ever is the time to lend a hand and contribute - whether it's in big or small ways - to shining a light on kindness. On that note, we are very excited to present the Credit Union Christmas Pageant Schools Challenge, presented with Camp Quality!

As part of The Kindness Experiment, we are teaming up to challenge all of the schools of Adelaide to fundraise for a very worthy cause. Camp Quality supports children and their families from the first experience of cancer, through every stage: from treatment, to remission and in the case of bereavement. They do this by providing innovative programs and services to their kids and their families, helping them to develop life skills and strengthen their well being.

So many of us know someone who has experienced cancer, so let’s all help, and raise some funds for our friends at Camp Quality! We’re calling on schools to raise money for Camp Quality over the Pageant period in the lead up to Christmas.

To thank those schools for their  wonderful efforts and kindness, we are offering a small thank you to the school that raises the most money! The winning school will get a special visit in the last week of the school year by some much-loved Christmas Pageant characters and their friends…

How will you raise the money? Maybe you will have a casual clothes day at your school and all bring in a gold coin. Maybe you will have a cupcake stall one day and all bring in some treats to share? Every little bit of kindness helps!

To enter the Schools Challenge, the process is easy!

  • Register your school via https://fundraise.campquality.org.au/event/cucp
  • Once your school fundraising page is set up and you have chosen your activity, tell everyone about it! The idea is simple - the more people you tell about your upcoming fundraiser, the quicker you’ll reach your goal.
  • Hold your fundraiser and celebrate your success!
  • Deposit the funds you have raised by 5pm on Wednesday 5 December 2018 to your school's online fundraising page.
  • The winning school who has raised the most amount of funds will be notified on Monday 10 December by the Pageant team.

Schools who are up for the challenge are also encouraged to get social with us!

We love to see all of your kindness, so be sure to post about your fundraising on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, tagging both the Credit Union Christmas Pageant and Camp Quality, and use the hashtags #thekindnessexperiment #cupageant

We can't wait to see all of the kindness!
